Making Every Word Count – Practical Target Selection in DTTC for Childhood Apraxia of Speech
$95
12.30 – 1.30pm Wednesday 13th May AEST
Online via Zoom
Selecting the right words is a critical—yet often challenging—part of delivering effective intervention for children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).
This practical lunchtime workshop focuses on how to choose functional, motivating, and motorically appropriate targets within the Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) approach.
Designed for paediatric speech pathologists, this session will build your confidence and clinical decision-making so you can truly make every word count in therapy sessions.
Note – this PD is aimed at Speech Pathologists who already have some knowledge of using DTTC in therapy sessions.
If this is you, then I’d love to see you!
You’ll learn how to:
✨ Identify key considerations when selecting therapy targets
✨ Analyse sounds, syllable shapes and movement complexity
✨ Select targets that are both functional and motorically achievable
✨ Bring it all together through case examples
This training is designed to take the guess work out of word selection, giving you a clear plan in how to support progress in therapy.
Walk away with practical strategies to implement immediately in your clinic. We’d love to see you there!
