No referral is required to access speech pathology services, although any previous reports you have are always helpful.  If you are unsure if your child may be able to access funding support, get in touch and Marion can help determine what your child may be eligible for.

Funding options that may be available for your child include:

• Private health insurance – Contact your private health insurer to see if you are eligible for any rebates as each health provider has slightly different policies. 
  An initial consult is item code 320 and item code 340 for subsequent therapy sessions.
  
• Medicare subsidies – you will need to talk to your GP to see if your child is eligible for this and they need to create a plan. There are two options:
  
  o    A Chronic Condition Management plan (provides rebates for up to 5 session each year)
  
  o   A M10 item group allied health services includes speech sound disorders, cleft lip/palate, and stuttering (provides rebates for up to 8 assessment sessions and 20 therapy sessions before your child turns 25yrs old).

• NDIS funding
  Kids in the Hills Speech Pathology is able to support families who are self-managing or plan-managing their funds.  NDIS services are similarly priced to all other services, however due to their increased complexity, there are often small variations due to increased non-face-to-face tasks.
