Childcare and Kindy Services 

 

As children are spending an increasing amount of time in childcare/kindy settings, educators and staff may be the first to suspect that a child is not meeting their communication milestones.  At our clinic we are keen to support educators, to best support the children they are caring for each day.

 

This may include:

• Staff training eg. red flags, when to refer, practical strategies

• Information talks for parents at your centre

• Liaison via phone/email regarding a specific child who may be accessing speech pathology support (with parental consent) 

• Monthly newsletters about communication development with practical strategies to help

• Speech pathology screening with children
